Chris Brown Electrifies on the F.A.M.E. Tour; Concert Review

Chris Brown’s career nearly came to an end. After his much-publicized beat-down of Rihanna, Brown was ostracized by many in the music industry. However, Brown’s immense talent could not be ignored. His latest album, F.A.M.E., debuted at the top of the charts and those who shunned him during the controversy welcomed his return to grace.

Brown recently embarked on the F.A.M.E. tour and brought along Kelly Rowland, T-Pain and Tyga. During the tour’s stop at Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood in Atlanta, Brown was in rare form.

Dressed in camouflage and a black skull cap, Brown entered the stage and opened with “Transform Ya.” Afterwards, he took a moment to soak in the crowd’s energy before yelling, “I don’t care if you’re old or not, you’re going to be young tonight.” The majority of the crowd was comprised of females in their late teens and early 20s.

Those die-hard fans song every word as Brown performed “Excuse Me Miss.” After a brief set where the DJ played a slew of mixes, Brown returned to the stage wearing a dress shirt and tux pants while holding a cigar and wine bottle. Brown performed “Leave The Club” and “Body 2 Body.”

Brown also brought out a few surprise guests.

Atlanta rapper Ludacris joined Brown on stage to perform “Wet The Bed”; Busta Rhymes rapped his tongue twisting verse on “Look At Me Now”; and Tyga rapped his verse on “Deuces.” Kelly Rowland played the leading lady as Brown performed “Take You Down.” For nearly two hours, Brown kept the crowd screaming with amazing dance moves and showmanship.

Brown ended the show with his hits, “Next 2 You” and “Beautiful People.”

With his second chance to capture the limelight, Brown is shaping up to be this generation’s most awe-inspiring performer next to Beyoncé. –amir shaw
