Classic R&B pays a visit to Chicago

For people born during the era depicted in “That ’70s Show,” Jon B., Al B. Sure, and Christopher Williams represent the essence of old school R&B. Whether you were the girl going gaga over the posters in Right On, or if you were the teenage boy copping feels under low lights at that basement party, those 3 singers gave you the words and harmony that scored your ‘teenage’ love affairs. Seeing them today is like looking in a mirror at yourself.

Some time has passed. You’ve grown up over the years. You’re not so starry eyed as you once were. And you might have already secured your love of a lifetime. Regardless, no matter how far you may be removed from that time, the teenager in you is still there … still pushing you to achieve dreams … still holding on to what has always been the core of you. Jon B., Al B. Sure, and Christopher Williams will be at Chicago’s newest performance venue, The Promontory this Saturday, Dec. 27. Click here for a trip back in time. I’m pretty sure that all three will still sing to the core of you.
