It looks like Eve‘s engagement is right on time.

It is being reported that the hip-hop star is facing major IRS issues due to unpaid taxes. Eve, born Eve Jeffers, reportedly hasn’t paid taxes in close to seven years and it’s starting to mount up. There have been tax problems for the former Ruff Ryders first lady as far back as 2010; she owes all the way back to 2007.

Eve reportedly owes $12, 971.08 for the year of 2007, $181,875.53 for the year of 2010 and $30,141.34 for 2011 – making the grand total a whopping $224,987.95.

A second lien was imposed on her by the Federal Government in 2012 following an audit. At the time it was reported that Eve failed to pay $102,084.30 in taxes for the year of 2012, which means that she now has to pay $327,000.

Eve made headlines during the holidays when it was announced that she’d gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend Maximillion Cooper. Cooper is a wealthy entrepreneur and sports enthusiast. A former race car driver, he studied fashion at London’s prestigious Central St. Martins College of Art and Design and is the founder and brains behind the Gumball 3000 brand.

His net worth is $50 million. So hopefully, Max can toss Eve some assistance to help get her out of debt with the federal government and get them started on their happy life together. Or could she maybe just move to Great Britain with him as a permanent citizen and call it a day?
