The unfulfilled promise as an actress
Whitney’s transition to film was better than most give her credit for. Her short filmography consists of The Bodyguard, Waiting To Exhale, The Preacher’s Wife and most recently, Sparkle. That’s a more-than-respectable run of movies. One can only imagine how much further she could’ve taken her film career under better circumstances.
