Gangster rapper Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis can’t seem to follow the rules.

The 33-year-old rapper was arraigned in court on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, where he pleaded guilty to two federal charges for felon in possession of firearms.

The charge carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and $500,000 in fines.

Luckily, Gucci has accepted a plea that was petitioned by his legal team that will only require him to serve 39 months in prison.

“On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm,” read a federal prosecutor’s statement that was released to the press. “Then, just two days later, on September 14, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney.”

Unfortunately, the incidents occurred less than a week after he was released from Atlantic Records as a recording artist.

Gucci Mane has a history of breaking the law. Dating back to 2001, he has been arrested many times, including for traffic violations, guns, drugs, violence and even murder.

“The criminal history of the defendant, Radric Davis, shows a complete and utter disregard for the lives of others as well as for their personal pursuits,” Aladino Ortiz with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Tuesday.

Sentencing for Gucci Mane will be held on July 28, 2014, for the federal firearms charges.
