The world’s highest paid hip-hop artists of 2013

While rappers are known for their braggadocio especially when it comes to their bank accounts, Forbes has released a list naming the actual highest paid hip-hop artists this year.

Diddy tops this year’s “Cash Kings” list after pulling in $50 million over the past 12 months. Diddy’s millions come from his Bad Boy record label, Sean John clothing line and, of course, the widely popular Ciroc vodka.

Similarly, Jay Z’s Armand de Brignac champagne, D’Ussé cognac, and Roc Nation label kept him busy and earned him a whopping $43 million and the No. 2 spot on the list.

Like Diddy and Jigga, there are several other stars who made millions and whose payouts placed them in this year’s rankings. Noteworthy stars on the list include No. 20 Lil Jon ($6 million), No. 14 Kendrick Lamar ($9 million) and No. 14 Macklemore and Ryan Lewis who also raked in $9 million apiece.

Famous braggert and “You Know I Got It” rapper Rick Ross did not make the list.
