Jeezy may have lost Freddie Gibbs: 'I’m the coldest free agent …'

Young Jeezy may have just lost one….

Freddie Gibbs has been the brightest up-and-coming star on Young Jeezy’s CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment) imprint for over a year. Gibbs even went on tour with Jeezy. But it looks like the camaraderie may be dead between the Atlanta superstar and the phenom from Gary, Indiana.

After extended album delays and a somewhat ambigious recent interview from Gibbs in which he implied that Jeezy isn’t really hands-on with his young signee, Freddie tweeted last night about being a free agent—implying that he’s jumping the CTE ship.

“I’m the coldest Free Agent in the game,” he tweeted. “Feelin like Lebron at decision time.”

That tweet could be taken a lot of ways, but coming on the heels of Gibbs’ previous quotes about Jeezy, and no debut album from Gibbs, it appears that Jeezy has pushed his young star to the breaking point and they are about to part ways, if they ahven’t already.

Adding to the seemingly tenuous situation, Hit Skrewface issued a tweet one day before Gibbs’ recent declaration that implied that there is some kind of bad blood between Gibbs and Jeezy that may lead to Gibbs being removed from Jeezy songs.

“If @YoungJeezy take @FreddieGibbs off all them songs he wrote,” Skrewface tweeted. “He will not be considered the realest nigga in it in my eyes #keepit100.”

Gibbs is one of hip hop’s most buzzed-about newcomers and the most visible artist on CTE other than Jeezy himself. Losing the kid would be a major blow to the Atlanta trap star’s burgeoning mogul-dom—especially considering his own career has cooled off a bit from his “Let’s Get It” heyday.
