While many celebrities have lent their influence, money and condolences to the Brown family, Nelly has a different message for those with #handsup, fighting for #justiceformikebrown.

“I understand the frustration, but we have to strategize before we overreact … We don’t get no do-over on s— like this, so we have to do it right the first time.” he said in a brief interview with TMZ.

The rapper adds, “Ain’t nothing happen no different that hasn’t been happening … At the end of the day, we should have waited to strategize first and take all the right steps to organize.”

And while the rapper could have reacted in anger like many others, Nelly says that he wants to do something constructive. In saying that, he has decided to start a scholarship fund in Brown’s name with himself, T.I., Kevin Hart and NBA baller Al Jefferson the first of many celebrities to pledge $15,000 a year in college tuition to teens chosen by the Brown family.
