New R&Beef: Trey Songz Calls Ne-Yo a ‘Sucker’
First, it was Chris Brown and Drake and now it’s…Trey Songz and Ne-Yo? Yep, that’s right. Songz and Ne-Yo are the new stars of R&B’s latest beef and, apparently, it all started over a slight criticism from Ne-Yo.
During a recent interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Ne-Yo talked about Songz’s vocal talent and explained that the singer could go from good to amazing if he just put more heart into his singing.
“Trey’s one of them dudes that could be a serious problem if he decided to put that emotion in there. Just the emotional disconnect is there,” said Ne-Yo.
Well, Songz didn’t take too kindly to Ne-Yo’s critique and during a recent interview with 106 KMEL, the Chapter V singer fired back at Ne-Yo and called him a “sucker.”
“I’ma talk to Ne-Yo when I see him. It ain’t even that. The thing is that Ne-Yo knows me,” Songz said. “Ain’t no need to have that conversation for the world to hear, you know. And I feel like that’s a sucker move.”
“It’s all good though. I’m a real ni—a. They gon’ take shots,” he added.
Well, it looks like this beef may just be heating up. But they’re not the only singers have butted heads. Check out some other famous R&Beefs below. – nicholas robinson
