After a couple of months of speculation and rumors, it has been confirmed: OutKast has reunited.

Onstage, at least.

The acclaimed duo of Big Boi and Andre 3000 will take the stage together at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival, it was officially announced yesterday (January 8th.) Outkast, along with indie rock stars Arcade Fire, were announced as this year’s big headliners. Coachella will take place on back-to-back weekends — April 11 and April 18 — in Indio, Calif.

OutKast’s headlining performance is a major moment for the Grammy-winning act and its fans. Andre and Big Boi haven’t released an OutKast album since 2006, and they haven’t performed together since the early 2000s. Big Boi has released a pair of acclaimed solo albums since their hiatus, while 3000 has focused more on acting; he’s appeared in films ranging from the sports comedy Semi-Pro to All Is By My Side, an independent biopic about legendary rocker Jimi Hendrix.

It was revealed in November that OutKast could possibly reunite at Coachella, but nothing as officially confirmed until this week. Rico Wade of Organized Noize mentioned the performance in a recent Stereogum article (also indicating that it will be the first of several) and then Big Boi himself posted an Instagram pic of the official Coachella poster with OutKast and Arcade Fire prominently featured as performers.

Additional acts taking the stage this year include Muse, Pharrell Williams, Lana del Rey, Skrillex, The Replacements and Nas.
