Did Pebbles get TLC dropped from Epic Records?

In the last few weeks, TLC’s feud with their former manager, Pebbles, seems to have overshadowed their acclaimed Vh1 biopic as well as their planned musical comeback. Perhaps all of that fuss with Pebbles, who is threatening to sue them and Vh1 over her portrayal in the biopic, has become too much for TLC’s new record label as a new report claims that Epic Records may have dropped them from their roster.

Four months ago, TLC signed a new record deal with Epic Records where their longtime mentor and former LaFace boss, L.A. Reid, serves as the Chairman and CEO and is working with them on a comeback album.

But according to Pop Dust, a TLC fan site pointed out on Twitter that TLC is no longer listed on the roster on Epic’s website and the Epic logo no longer appears there either.

Many have now assumed that Reid, who is the ex-husband of Pebbles, has dropped the group from the label over the controversy they’re having with his ex-wife.

However, TLC hasn’t taken the rumor lying down and Chilli recently took to Twitter to dispel any notions that TLC was dropped from Epic.

Well, we’ll have to wait and see what happens with TLC and Epic. Hopefully, they weren’t dropped from the label over all of this drama. But if so, they certainly wouldn’t be the first act to be dropped from a label over a dispute. Check out some other artists who were booted over a dispute below. – nicholas robinson
