Tameka Raymond Claims Usher Faking Sympathy Over Kile Glover
Is a famed recording artist feigning sympathy after the recent death of his 11-year-old stepson? That’s the question that’s being raised by lawyers today in the ongoing drama between Usher Raymond and his ex-wife Tameka. According to TMZ, a lawyer representing Tameka has filed new documents in the couple’s child custody war slamming Usher for pretending that he was suffering from “stress and strain” from the death of Kile Glover. Glover is the preteen son of Tameka and Ryan Glover who succumbed to heart failure after being seriously injured in a Jet Ski accident.
Shortly after Glover was admitted to the hospital, a seemingly gracious Usher asked the court to delay his next custody hearing because he was worried it would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for both himself, Tameka and their two minor children “in the immediate wake of this tragedy.” He later added that Tameka could be given an “unfair advantage” because the court would not want to rule against a woman who is still grieving the death of her son.
In recently filed documents, Tameka fired back with claims of her own; Usher only visited her son once while he was hospitalized and disregarded her request to tweet a message asking his followers for their support. “Please pray for Kile,” is what Tameka begged her singing ex to tweet. Raymond instead posted a photo of his own breakfast with the caption, “Breakfast of Champions” to his fans.
Tameka reportedly claims that Usher’s attempt to postpone the hearing is “simply a transparent sham” and wants his request denied so he can appear at their next scheduled hearing Aug. 13.
The battle between Usher and his ex-wife has taken several nasty turns before this latest development; there were previous claims that the singer had a drug addiction and slept with two of his ex-wife’s bridesmaids. Usher would later accuse Tameka of spitting on his new girlfriend.
Hopefully, these two will one day settle their differences. –danielle canada
