The-Dream Owes Uncle Sam $100K
The-Dream recently boasted about his multimillion payday from penning Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.” And though the singer-producer’s fortune apparently abounds, it seems that The-Dream is in major debt with Uncle Sam and reportedly owes more than $100,000 in taxes.
According to TMZ, The Georgia Department of Revenue recently filed a state tax lien against The-Dream, claiming that he failed to pay $60,578 in income taxes from 2007. Over the time, the interest on the debt has brought the total debt to a hefty $117, 401.
Ironically, during that same year, The-Dream found mainstream success with song “Umbrella,” which he recently claimed to have banked $15 million off of. That same year, The-Dream also landed a record deal with Def Jam and launched his own solo career, releasing his successful debut album, Love/Hate.
However, it’s easy to assume that a sizable portion of his fortune has gone to his ex-wives, Nivea and Christina Milian, who between them, share four kids with The-Dream.
Hopefully, The-Dream will pay Uncle Sam soon enough, lest he end up remaining grouped with these other celebrity tax offenders listed below.
