Wesley Warren Jr., the Las Vegas man who became famous because he sported a scrotum that weighed 132 pounds, has died. He was 49.

Warren had suffered two heart attacks and had been in the hospital for extended periods due to complications from diabetes.

A friend of Warren’s told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “He had infections that I think were brought on by his diabetes and then he had those heart attacks.” The friend said Warren’s surgery last April played no role in his death.

Due his condition, Warren, who weighed 300 pounds before his scrotum started expanding at a rate of 3 pounds per month, was unable to urinate normally, or to have sex. He had to wear hooded sweatshirts upside down as pants.wesley warren2

Warren’s strange case garnered worldwide attention thanks to appearances on the “Howard Stern Show,” “Tosh.0,” and a 2013 documentary on the British Channel 4, “The Man With the 10-Stone Testicles.” The publicity led to several offers to perform corrective surgery, including one from Dr. Mehmet Oz, which Warren turned down because he was afraid Oz would botch the operation, reported Gawker

He eventually found a doctor at the University of California-Irvine who performed the surgery for free, on the condition that Nevada Medicaid would pay for use of the hospital. The surgery happened before the state approved it, though, and Nevada denied coverage for Warren’s surgery and his post-operative care.

Warren consistently denied that he flaunted his condition for attention.

“Who would want to live like this?” he asked the Review-Journal before his surgery last year.

HE was seemingly enjoying the attention and was probably getting a check like a side show act due to the fact it was a large ball …you know sex sells no matter whos life is at risk .. and just like a lot of others who wanted to be a side show freak ,,he didnt take his health serious … when dr oz offered to pay for his surgery ..dr oz is top notch surgeon the best in the industry …but he didnt trust him? as big as he was and in danger but he gott the nerve to not trust someone who gonna pay thousands for your surgery ..hell he was trying to keep him alive …and he turned that down BUT RIP BROTHER .. SOME PEOPLE DONT TAKE THEIR HEALTH SERIOUS AT ALL…

With people like you I can see why the moral compass for love thy neighbor is at an all time low in America. A man has a debilitating deformity and all you can think of is “he seemed to be enjoying the attention was probably getting a check on the side”. ,What does money have to do with it? when you don’t have. You nor I have no clue as to this man’s quality of life or lack there of was like on a daily basis. You are obviously not a man and can’t picture yourself carry around a 132lb scrotum. Most American’s do take their health seriously but for daily survival, we sometimes make a lesser priority over food, clothing and shelter. That is why universal healthcare is paramount for all citizens! BTW, the surgery didn’t kill him, it was other complications like heart attacks and diabetes.
