A recent video uploaded to YouTube shows a disturbing event that has similarities to the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. In the video Paso, Washington police confront Mexican national Antonio Zambrano-Montes, 35, for throwing rocks at police cars. The unarmed man is seen being shot multiple times by the police as he is fleeing with his hands up in surrender. However, that does not stop police from killing the man in cold blood as he pleads for his life.

Police officials in Pasco, Washington, are fearing widespread protests and have faced international outrage over the incident. The Mexican Counsel sent a letter of protest in the Pasco chief of police requesting information on what actions will be taken against the officers involved.  According to eyewitness statements, the officers involved; Ryan Flanagan, Adam Wright and Adrian Alaniz, fired as many as 13 rounds into Zambrano-Montes as he was fleeing. Law enforcement officials claim that the officers were injured by the rocks thrown by Zambrano-Montes but have not released the extent of the injuries.

One of the officers, Flanagan, was the subject of a $100,000 lawsuit that was settled by the city over his use of force in 2012 that claimed the officer was inadequately trained in the use of force and how to respond to confrontations.

The disturbing, graphic video of Antonio Zambrano-Montes’ death can be seen below.
