Texas NAACP Website Stolen, New Site Under Construction

Texas NAACP website under construction

Gary Bledsoe, the president of the Texas Branch of the NAACP stated that the original website  for the organization was stolen. The individual who snatched the name of www.texasnaacp.org was attempting to extort money from the historic nonprofit to release the domain name back to the NAACP.

Instead, a decision was made to register and create a new website  of www.txnaacp.org. The new website is currently under construction and a webmaster has been retained by the Texas NAACP. In the meantime the new owner of the old website is based in Canada, according to the domain registration service www.alwhois.com.

Many black people in America still look to the NAACP for guidance at times of crisis for information and now in Texas the resource will soon be available.
