As the 57th Presidential inauguration draws near, more pictures of the man and woman of the hour have been released. Over the weekend President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited Burrville Elementary School for the annual National Day of Service where they helped paint the institution. Additionally Barack and Michelle met with volunteers to thank them for participating in this year’s annual celebration.
The National Day of Service is of course a day to give back while reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. And in Washington D.C. more than 13,000 people and over 100 service organizations participated in the Service Summit on the National Mall. As previously reported Angela Bassett, Eva Longoria and Chelsea Clinton also participated.
