Ferguson sparks National Moment of Silence 2014 with #NMOS

NMOS National Moment of Silence 2014 - NYC 2

It’s hard not to be emotional when you see how many people came out to support the 2014 National Moment of Silence in cities around the world. After the unjust killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, people realized that this about more than racial tension and conflicts within the African American community. Police brutality backed by government support is just an example of inalienable rights taken away from human beings due to power-hungry officials hiding behind public offices.

Yesterday #NMOS became  more than a national trending topic as cities like New York, Oakland, Atlanta, Richmond, and Washington D.C., were flooded with people who stand with the family of Mike Brown and the people of Ferguson. Take a look at just a few photos and comments from Twitter and Instagram that shows our solidarity for justice and freedom.
