Private collectors previewed the works of Chicago artist Hebru Brantley at “Downtown 88” at Lacuna Artist Lofts – Ultra Gallery. Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip deejayed the party, which was sponsored by Hennessy Black. 


Hebru is a favorite among elite art collectors. He recently had a piece purchased by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter for a reported $200,000. Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are also reported collectors. –yvette caslin
