President Obama as Kim Kardashian: Has the ‘NY Daily News’ Gone Too Far?

The image is of President Obama in drag as Kim Kardashian, to illustrate a reference made by political rival Mitt Romney.

Romney, a GOP candidate, recently told a Council Bluffs, Iowa, crowd: “I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises. I think the gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen, well, since the Kardashian wedding.” Kardashian’s marriage lasted only 72 days.

What do you think, has Patrick Montero’s photo illustration gone too far?

Wasn’t it the Daily News – or was it the Post? – that disrespected Obama by portraying him as a monkey a few years ago? Yes, I know racism isn’t dead in the least (that ignorance will always exist), but buffoonery targeted at the POTUS needs to be. If you don’t want to respect him, fine, but to compare his performance – which includes the assassination (at least that he’ll get credit for) of Bin Laden and several things which have actually HELPED our people (do the research) – to Kim Kardashian, who is an entertainment personality, is ri-fuckin-diculous.

Hate President Obama (I’m probably looking into Ron Paul or Obama) …. but at the end of the day one man cannot do everything for this country alone. Put energy into creating initiatives in your community, not looking for ways to insult people looking to create positive change and taking action.

Lauryn Doll it was the New York Post that ran the monkey cartoon. Thank you so much for sharing your insights on this photo.

All I know is this would not have been done to George Bush.  And a damn shame it is that the President cannot get any respect.

Vanaphil, thank you for sharing your comment…I must investigate if there’s ever been a photo like this of Pres. Bush, I do remember some terrible cartoons! Yikes.

Yes, there have been some cartoons and even shirts during the Bush administration, but nothing comparing him to a monkey, putting watermelons on the front lawn of the white house or even making him effeminate in character.

I can’t understand why we as Americans just cannot accept our President Obama.  Is it because, he is a BLACK MAN?  Have you thought about the goood things he has done since being in office? It takes all us to make this COUNTRY STRONG.  I have never seen or heard of a President being more disrespected in my life as President Obama.  If you don’t like it go SOME PLACE ELSE!!!!!!!. The world is large enough to accommodate you.

      Thank you for your comment..

This level of blatant disrespect for our Commander in Chief both  angers and saddens me. I agree that pretty much all political figures are made fun of at some point, but with President Obama it’s not just one particular publication or group, but seemingly darts from every direction. Personally this “freedon of speech” has gone too far.

I think it was very hypocritical of him to use this picture of Kim. They should have used their own mother’s pic instead. If Romney’s mother was unavailable then Montero’s mother would have to do!

When I first saw the picture, I thought the article would say something like, PRESIDENT SHOWS HIS SUPPORT FOR LBGTQ RIGHTS!
