5 things to watch during NFL week 10

Divisional Playoffs - Green Bay Packers v San Franciso 49ers

The 2014 NFL season has reached the 10-week mark and the separation between contenders and pretenders is becoming more evident.

We have compiled a list of five things to watch during NFL week 10.

How long will it take for Adrian Peterson to hit the field?

All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson pleaded no contest in the case involving the disciplining of his child. He will avoid jail time and could hit the field on Nov. 16. The Vikings star will first have to await potential disciplinary action by the NFL front office. He should know his status in a few days.

Can the Cardinals remain hot?

The Arizona Cardinals have been the most consistent team in the NFC. At 7-1, they have a good chance of securing home field advantage in the playoffs. However, the St. Louis Rams have impressive wins over the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. Led by coach Jeff Fisher, the Rams have a chance to upset the Cardinals.

Will the Cowboys suffer in the long run by starting Tony Romo?

The Dallas Cowboys will travel to London and face the Jacksonville Jaguars. Although the Jaguars aren’t a formidable opponent, the Cowboys will start an ailing Tony Romo to avoid starting Brandon Weeden. If Romo takes another bad hit, it could force him to sit out more games during a potential playoff run.

Are the Saints and 49ers contenders or pretenders?

The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers have both underachieved in 2014. Both teams are 4-4 and this game will determine which team will have a good chance of making the playoffs.

Will Calvin Johnson return to form?

All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson returns to the lineup against the Miami Dolphins. It will be interesting to see if Johnson will be able to make an immediate impact after returning from injuries.
