Dalvin Cook is wanted by Tallahassee PD

The state attorney’s office in Tallahassee will issue a warrant for the arrest of Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, 19, who is accused of punching a 21-year-old woman in the face several times during an argument outside a bar last month, according to ESPN.com. The Florida State football players have a serious issue with keeping their hands to themselves. This incident occurred in Tallahassee a day before quarterback De’Andre Johnson sucker punched a female patron at another bar. Johnson was dismissed from the team on Monday night after the state attorney’s office released video showing Johnson tussling with a woman and eventually punching her.

Cook’s incident happened at another bar, Clyde’s and Costello’s, shortly after it closed on June 23. According to the woman, Cook’s companion asked her for her telephone number. She refused. They engaged in a heated exchange. Cook punched her and she says her bottom lip was split and her nose was sore the following day. She dialed 911, reported the incident to the police and pressed charges. On July 1, she singled out Cook in a photo lineup provided by Tallahassee Police Department investigators as the person who struck her.

“They kept telling me they were football players,” the woman said. “They kept telling me to Google them. They told me they were football players and they could buy me in two years.

A native of Miami, Cook will be charged with misdemeanor battery according to State attorney Willie Meggs. The public is awaiting Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher’s next move.
