The University of Kentucky was simply the best NCAA basketball team from the first until the last game of the season. The Wildcats were ranked No. 1 the majority of the season and finished in impressive fashion by defeating the Kansas Jayhawks 67-59.

The victory is the Wildcats’ eighth national title and its first since 1998. However, the team that won the NCAA title will likely look a lot different next year due to several players who will enter the NBA Draft.
