Kobe Bryant’s family dispute gets uglier after Mother’s Day

Kobe Bryant continues to deal with a legal matter that may split his family a part. Several weeks ago, Kobe sued Goldin Auctions to prevent the auction house for selling memorabilia given to them by Kobe’s mother, Pamela Bryant.

Kobe claimed that his mother stole the items, but his mother says that he gave her the items. Bryant’s father, former NBA star Joe Bryant, sided with his wife Pamela and told a judge that Kobe offered the items to his mother as a gift. Kobe’s grandmother also backed up Pamela’s claim that she never took any of the items without his consent.

Currently, the only person on Kobe’s side appears to be his sister, Sharia Washington. She claims that Kobe’s mother has attempted to profit off her son’s success for years.

Although a judge has blocked the auction, there is a chance that Kobe’s items will be sold if there is evidence that he gave the memorabilia to his mother as gifts.

Share your thoughts. Should Kobe’s family continue to fight for the right to sell his memorabilia, or is Kobe correct for stopping the items from being sold?
