LeBron James: A king on the court, a mogul off it

Name: LeBron James
The Business: The National Basketball Association
Position: Small forward
Twitter: @KingJames
He’s the biggest star in the NBA today (sorry, Kobe) and the league is indisputably his. The man known as “King James” is more of an emperor these days; his team sits atop the basketball world and there is no singular player in the league with his wide array of skills.

LBJ has led the Miami Heat to the last three NBA Finals, winning the championship in 2012 and 2013. He’s coming off of yet another MVP season (his fourth) and his career averages of 27.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per make him one of the most devastating all-around ballers in NBA history.

His much-criticized departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami seems like ancient history now — as even the scorned and bitter Cavs’ fans are now openly campaigning for James to return as a free agent in 2014.

He was quoted as saying: “How committed are you to winning? How committed are you to being a good friend? To being trustworthy? To being successful? How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model? There’s that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: Are you committed, or are you not?”
