Serena isn’t the only star who’s C-Walked after a victory. In 2003, former NBA player Brent Barry Crip Walked after winning the 3-point Shootout at the NBA All-Star weekend.

I thought it was funny and cute. The crip walk is a dance that many people have done who do not condone or even know any crips. It seems we are always scrutinized for everything we do.

Agree with Cmiller_holmes!  Is there a copyright on her dance moves by the Crips?  Could some of the steps actually be seen in a Charlie Chaplin movie from over 50 years ago?
Willing to bet 90% of America (much less the WORLD) had NO idea there was a ‘Crips Walk’ – until the media blew it up, and made it a headline story.  If the media world is guilty of ‘dumbing down’ the public, it seems that we are complicit in supporting their efforts: stupid and stupider??

I think this is another sad attempt to disguise how they really feel and what they really wanna say about these black women dominating the wins of this once white dominated sport!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say Fk’em and keep on keeping on… Her dance was out of pure joy and excitement, nothing more. Hell, people do the cabbage patch or churn the butter and don’t nobody say nothing about that! Kill yo’self!

First off, tennis is still dominated by Whites. After the Williams “sisters” (or are they brothas?”) there won’t be a huge influx of blacks dominating tennis. It’s never going to be dominated by blacks. Most blacks don’t like tennis, or hockey or baseball, or golf. Yeah, Tiger Woods really helped a lot of blacks make the PGA tour didn’t he? And no, you go kill yo’self. If you can’t learn to use proper English then GTFO!

Kill my sef’. Nope, I finna ta life up, yo. By the way; we don’t disguise how we feel we just say it. Here it is: She’s a great athlete who celebrated by doing a gangbanger dance. If you want to back her up fot it then it’s your problem.

First of all, whites especially do not under stand the ways in which the black community celebrates, there is always an issue when we choose our own methods of celebration or even protests for that matter.  They should not worry about Serena doing the “CRIP WALK”, just talk about the ” LA Stomp” she put on her opponents……Its Black and you wouldn’t understand…..
