‘The One’ Mayweather vs. Alvarez fight

Mayweather-vs-Canelo

On Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, Floyd “Money” Mayweather (44-0) will take home his highest payday to date with a guaranteed $41.5 million after fighting 23-year-old Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO).  In addition to the guaranteed payout, he will collect his share of the PPV receipts from carriers of the fight, such as Direct TV and Dish Network.  This will be Floyd’s second fight within four months.  This past May, he took home $32 million after his unanimous decision win against Robert Guerrero.  I guess the saying rings true: “They don’t call him Money for nothing.”

Fans of both Mayweather and Alvarez are eager to see and witness their champion take home the WBC middleweight title belt next Saturday.  Tickets at the MGM Grand Arena where this epic fight will take place sold out in less than 24 hours.  You can say what you want about Mayweather, but his flawless record pretty much speaks for itself.  Although his flashy lifestyle may be a turn-off for some, you can’t knock his skilled boxing technique.  No one has been able to decipher his ridiculous defensive skills and quick hands in the ring.  Will Alvarez be “The One” to humble the beloved Mayweather?  Or will the “TMT” camp leave with yet more bragging rights and another belt that evening?

Regardless of who takes home the title, it will be a fight you don’t want to miss!  -lili
