Warren Sapp Blames Evelyn Lozada for Chad Johnson Domestic Dispute
Ever since Chad Johnson allegedly assaulted his wife, Evelyn Lozada, in a domestic dispute earlier this month, the disgraced footballer has become public enemy No. 1 and has watched his career crumble. But, in a surprising turn of events, someone is now blaming Lozada for the domestic dispute, and that someone is Johnson’s NFL buddy, Warren Sapp.
In an interview with the Miami New Times, Sapp talks about the infamous fight and explains that there are holes in the Lozada’s story about Johnson’s attack.
“Come on. Tell me the first and last name of a brother who head butted someone,” Sapp said.
Sapp then claimed that Johnson isn’t the one who attacked Lozada; it was Lozada who attacked him.
“When is the last time one of your homeboys called you and told you, ‘Let me tell you about this fight at the club last night where this guy and his girlfriend were walking by and he turned around and head butted the girl,’” he said. “Never. He’s taking the rap for it. We don’t do that. She did it.”
Sapp then attacked Lozada’s character and shared his sympathy for Johnson.
“That’s a woman that is going to depend on her beauty for the rest of her life to open any door she wants to walk through, and she is going to do what to her forehead? I’m done. [Chad] is a bunch of fun and I am sorry this had to happen to him,” Sapp said.
Sapp may be on the defense, but Johnson himself has done little to fight back against his abuse accusations or his critics. In fact, Johnson actually apologized for beating Lozada.
“I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred,” he said in a statement released after Lozada filed for divorce. “I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death.”
