Kandi Burruss begins to break down in the upcoming episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” because boyfriend Todd Tucker is considering taking a job shooting for an international travel television show that would keep him out of town for months.

This compounds the problems already besetting the popular couple, most notably Mama Joyce’s vehement objection to her daughter marrying Tucker because she believes he is an underachieving gold-digger seeking to leech off of Burruss’ fortune.

Another problem Tucker’s absence would present is that, with Tucker away from Atlanta, he wouldn’t be able to help Burruss with her play, A Mother’s Love, as he had previously planned.

“Question. How are you going to help me do this play, if you’re leaving to do that?” Burruss asked Tucker. “If you want do the TV show, go ahead and do the TV show,” the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells her boyfriend as she starts to cry.

Tucker’s face registers surprise at Burruss’ emotional response, prompting her to follow up with, “I just feel like lately we’ve been arguing about the stupidest stuff, and you keep bringing up these other shows and stuff that you want to do out of town, so I just feel like, don’t let me be the reason that you’re staying.”

Burruss then shares with the Bravo cameras, according to radaronline.com, “I don’t want to hold him back. If there are things that he feels that he needs to do, but at the same time, I see so much more for us together.”

In a surprising moment of candor, Burruss tells Tucker, “I feel like when you go and work on your other opportunities, to me, you seem much happier, even if it’s out of town and away from me.”

Wow. We didn’t see that one coming. If this is true, that Tucker seems happier away from Burruss, then what does that do to the future of their relationship, much less the wedding plans?
