Peter Gunz says he’s nothing like Stevie J

When it comes to the “Love & Hip Hop” franchise, no two men have had more women issues than Stevie J and Peter Gunz, who have both carried on messy love triangles with two women (or more) on their respective shows. And although both men are music industry vets, have messy relationships with women, and are stars of the franchise, Peter recently spoke out about the constant comparisons and claims that he’s nothing like Stevie J.

In a recent interview with VH1, Gunz discussed the comparisons and claimed that it bothered him that people think he’s copying Stevie J for fame.

“It bothers me a little bit because they say I’m trying to be Stevie J. I understand the comparison — two women, he’s with the side chick, you know, it bothers me a little bit because I never watched ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ but I knew immediately that my storyline was along the lines of his because I had producers and everyone around me saying ‘Oh, we’ve got another Stevie J-Joseline-Mimi thing.’ But no, me and Stevie J are two completely different characters. He’s more on the funny character side while my situation is very real and it’s just a different pedigree of people,” Peter said.

Peter explains that his and Stevie’s storyline’s are different because Stevie’s has become a joke now while his own situation with Tara Wallace and Amina Buddafly is serious and dark.

Peter says that he’s sure that Stevie J, whom he has yet to meet, likely agrees with all of the comparisons, but he claims that he wants nothing to do with any kind of beef or rivalry with Stevie.

“I don’t know him like that. I’m sure, judging by what people tell me, Benzino and Stevie J saying stuff like ‘I see old boy in New York trying to be like us,’ but I don’t pay that no mind, I’m not about to have a reality war. I know who I am, know what I mean? And I know I’m definitely not trying to mimic Stevie J,” he said.

Well, we definitely see the similarities, but Gunz isn’t the only guy that has as much drama as Stevie J. Check out some other reality TV bad boys below. –nicholas robinson
