Peter Gunz says he did ‘Love & Hip Hop’ for his kids’ college fund

Peter Gunz isn’t necessarily a man who’s known for dealing out sincere words, especially when it comes to his wife and his ex-girlfriend, Amina Buddafly and Tara Wallace. But the “Love & Hip Hop” star recently shared an interesting and perhaps candid comment about his decision to appear on the show when he claimed that he did it to put his kids through college.

In a recent interview with Juicy Magazine, Peter listed his goals for appearing on “LHHNY” and claimed that his helping his sons get an education was at the top of the list.

“My goal was I wanted to [Amina’s] music to be heard by millions of people. I wanted to see Tara shine on camera like she came to New York to do 15 years ago. The real goal would be if I’m able to put all of my young children through college from making the decision to do ‘Love & Hip Hop,’ ” said Gunz, who previously previously claimed that he was in the financial dumps before he made it onto the show.

While talking with Juicy, Peter also discussed the impact his cheating ways may have on his sons and, although he hopes they see him as a great dad and not just a cheater, he admits that seeing the men in his life cheat is exactly what influenced his current relationships with women.

“[Tara] always says ‘wait until your kids see the documentary of how you treated their mother.’ I know I’m a terrible husband and a terrible boyfriend — but I’m a great dad,” he said. “I love my kids, hopefully they’ll see me for the person that I really am in my heart as opposed to a person who made a lot of bad decisions in his life.”

Well, hopefully the tradeoff of being able to help his sons get an education will be worth all of the drama, character damage and bad examples he’s admittedly setting from being on the show.
