Ray J sentenced in battery, trespassing and vandalism case

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Ray J has pleaded no contest in court after being charged with 10 misdemeanor crimes, including a battery charge, four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery and two counts of vandalism.

On Aug. 28, Judge Edward Moreton sentenced Norwood to three years probation and 50 hours of community service. In addition, the “I Hit It First” singer has been ordered to attend alcohol therapy and anger management classes, as well as stay away from the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where the crimes occurred.


On Tuesday, Aug. 19, the reality star pleaded not guilty to additional charges, including sexual battery, vandalism, battery on a police officer and resisting a peace officer, all which were misdemeanor charges.

As previously reported, on May 30, Norwood was acussed of inappropriately fondling a woman at a hotel bar. Once the authorities who had been summoned to the scene arrived, Ray J allegedly became belligerent with the police and was arrested. While in custody of the cops, he reportedly kicked out a window in the police vehicle and spat on an officer.
