Return to Tiki

blue toast

Shake off cold weather chills without making a trip to a tropical port of call.  For a virtual escape, put on your brightest floral wear, turn up the heat and cool out with a Tiki cocktail, named for the island culture and thatch-roofed bars. –roz edward

The Zombie
Named after its effect on the drinker, the Zombie’s smooth, fruity taste can easily disguise the power of the alcohol it contains. Ingredients in the Zombie can vary but one popular recipe includes:

1 ounce of Bacardi dark rum
½ ounce of Bacardi high-proof dark rum
½ ounce of Bacardi of rum
1 ¼ ounces of lemon juice
¾ ounce of orange juice
½ ounce of cherry brandy
2 dashes of grenadine.

Navy Grog
Many versions of the drink exist but we prefer the most popular recipe.

½ ounce of Bacardi Light Rum
½ ounce of Bacardi Gold Rum
½ ounce Bacardi Dark Rum
½ ounce of Grand Marnier
1 ounce of grapefruit juice
1 ounce of orange juice
1 ounce of pineapple juice

151 Swizzle
The 151 Swizzle is rumored to cause hair growth and sweeten breath after eating onions.

1 1/2 ounces of 151 Demerara rum
½ ounce of sugar syrup
½ ounce fresh Lime juice
1/8 teaspoon of Pernod
Dash of Angostura bitters
Dash of Ground nutmeg
