Man Carves Warning Into Woman’s Chest, Police Allege

A Washington State man is being held on $500,000 bond after he allegedly carved the words “Do Not Resuscitate” into her chest, the media reports.

The incident happened last night in Whitman County, Wash., after authorities say Nathaniel Simon beat and choked her until she was unconscious, then allegedly scratched words into her chest.


The victim was locked inside of the house for three days before she could flee to a friend’s house.


Simon has been charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree assault by strangulation, harassment, threat to kill and unlawful imprisonment.

His court date has been set for Friday, April 8.


The woman is expected to have a full recovery. –terry shropshire
