Rumors of Jay-Z’s Alleged Secret Son Resurface, Original Source Denies Claims

As many across the globe continue to celebrate the big baby news of proud-parents-to-be Jay-Z and Beyonce, rumors of Jay-Z’s alleged secret son with Trinidadian model Shenelle Scott have begun to resurface. And though stories of a love child have been circulating for years without confirmation, the father of the man originally identified as the boy’s father began to share details about Jay-Z’s alleged love child. But now the man is denying claims, saying he’s unsure of the truth.

According to RadarOnline, in the latest issue of Star, Jared Andrews, the father of Scott’s ex-boyfriend, Malik Sayeed, told the magazine that at the time of the boy’s birth some nine years ago, Sayeed thought he was the father before later learning that the child actually belonged to Jay-Z.

“…at the time [he] was born, my son Malik thought he was his child, but they did DNA tests,” said Andrews. “It’s been determined that [the child is] Jay-Z’s baby.”

According to another source, Sayeed was ecstatic about the new baby, even footing the bill for a baby shower. But after the boy was born, he was convinced by friends and family to get a paternity test.

“Maybe two weeks later, he called me and said, ‘Daddy, I got some bad news. [He’s] not my son. I said, ‘How do you know, Malik?’ He said, ‘He doesn’t look anything like me!’” said Andrews.

Apparently, Andrews also told the magazine that Sayeed promptly kicked Scott out of his house before Jay-Z made arrangements for the video model to return to Trinindad with their secret son and began paying child support.

“Shenelle told me that Jay-Z gave her $1 million to keep her mouth shut. My understanding is that he’s paying her child support,” said Andrews. “Shenelle took the money and bought herself a really nice house in Trinidad that the whole family lives in now.”

Back in 2007, when the rumor first erupted, Jay-Z’s camp denied the story and now, according to NY Daily News, Andrews is refuting the story too, claiming he has no first-hand knowledge of a paternity test.

“I know Shenelle, but I’ve never spoken to her or my son about this. They’re very private people. The stuff about the DNA test was on the Internet. It’s all from an old article on the Internet,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s true.”

Andrews also denied that Jay-Z bought Scott a house, saying that she’s now married to a professional basketball player and that her new husband is the one who bought the house.

“The house wasn’t purchased by Jay-Z. It was paid for by her present husband,” he said.

Considering Jay’s penchant for keeping his personal life private, getting a confirmation or denial for the rumor would be like pulling teeth from a chicken. Until some concrete evidence arises, we’re guessing the spotlight will soon shift back to Jay’s actual confirmed child. Do you believe the rumors?  – nicholas robinson
