Footage of Fabolous Surfaces, Post Ray J Scuffle

Last week, the worlds of hip-hop and R&B collided in the worst way when rapper Fabolous and singer Ray J were involved in an altercation in Las Vegas. And though Fabolous has denied claims that Ray J punched him in the face during the incident, footage of Fabolous performing after the fight has surfaced online, showing what many are assuming is a mark made by Ray J’s alleged punch.

In the 45-second clip released by Hollywood TV, Fabolous can be seen performing onstage at the Palm Springs Hotel, where the altercation occurred shortly before his performance. About halfway through the clap, audiences can see (through bad lighting) what appears to be a knot on the right side of Fabolous’ forehead, leaving many to assume that the knot is the result of Ray J punching Fab in the face. However, as the lighting shifts and becomes brighter on his face, the knot seems to disappear.

Last week, Fab denied claims that his verbal altercation with Ray J became physical.

“It was no fight, it was no swing,” Fab maintains. “This whole story that he made up, that Tupac rant about him swinging on somebody and all of that s–t is all lies. It’s all, high on coke, on that Whitney. That’s all on that Whitney last night. Ain’t no swings take place. You can ask the Money Team. The Money Team was standing right there. Ask the Money Team that he’s probably the water boy for.”

50 Cent, who was a bystander during the incident, later shared a similar story to Fab’s, saying that Ray J threw a punch that failed to land on Fab’s face and citing the rapper’s performance as proof that no violence occurred.

“If he would have got punched in the face, Flex, Fab wouldn’t have went onstage with no glasses,” 50 recalled, adding about the punch, “Nah, he didn’t. If he got punched in the face it ain’t enough to call it a fight … Ray J did swing at him but it didn’t connect.”

After footage of his performance surfaced online, Fab took to Twitter to further deny the claims, saying media sites are simply trying stir up more trouble.

“So now there’s a video that’s suppose to show me wit a lump on my face from a punch that never got thrown… Smfh..,” tweeted Fab, adding, “A day ago Media Takeout had pics of it supposedly being my eye. When sites are altering pics & videos to make a story, s–t jus [sic] gets WACK.”
