Samuel L. Jackson Highest Paid Actor Ever; You’re Not Going to Believe How Much He’s Earned

The Guiness Book of World Records has named Samuel L. Jackson the highest-grossing actor of all time. He has earned an astounding $7.42 billion over the span of his  film career, and he’s only 62, so that figure is sure to rise in the coming years.

Jackson began his film career as an uncredited extra in the film The Exterminator, but really got his big break when Spike Lee cast him in the role of Gator Purify in Jungle Fever. Jackson now has over 100 film roles on his resume, including Menace II Society, Jurassic Park, Pulp Fiction, The Negotiator, Shaft and the Stars Wars film series.

Ever versatile, Jackson’s last feature film appearance was as Nick Fury in Captain America: The First Avenger, and he is currently starring as Martin Luther King Jr. in the new Broadway production, The Mountaintop, with Angela Bassett.

Jackson attributes his success and work ethic to his upbringing.

“I grew up in a working-class family,” he said. “When I was a kid, all the adults in my house got up and went to work every day. I assumed that’s what grown people do. That’s what I do. I just happen to have a very interesting job that’s kind of cool!”

“He has earned an astounding $7.42 billion over the span of his  film career”…. this is wrong. His films have earned that much. He hasn’t earned anywhere near that much.

His movies each earn close to 300 million dollars and he made more than 100 movies. so all these movies combined make around 30 billion dollars. so him getting 7.42 billion dollars is realistic.

To say that “every movie he’s stared in has grossed close to 300 million dollars is nonsense. For him to have earned 7.4 billion over 100 movies means they would have had to pay him an average of 74 million per movie.Didn’t happen. Before you go believing every thing you read, check the facts And in no way is this meant to detract for Mr.Jacksons phenominal career.

I didn’t know that Sam Jackson’s films, combined, have earned more than any other actor’s, to date…That’s fantastic news, and not surprising…His talent, work ethic and, yes, luck, have landed him at the top of the acting heap, in terms of the collective box office earnings of films he has been in…That’s quite an accomplishment…Harrison Ford, at one time, had that title, if I’m not mistaken…I hope Sam will continue to work hard at his craft, continue to be a role model for not only African-American actors, but all actors, and continue to show that hard work, dedication and giving one’s all to one’s craft, will result in success, financial security and a life that others will admire and want to emulate.
