Aside from copycat accusations for videos like “Countdown” and her live performance of “Run The World (Girls),” Beyoncé was slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit by an unknown songwriter claiming that Bey stole a demo of her song to create her hit, “Baby Boy.” Beyoncé eventually won the case in 2006 due to insufficient evidence to prove she’d stolen the track. The songwriter appealed the ruling, but it was upheld in 2008.
