Trailblazers in Media and Entertainment Honored at 2012 Powerpreneur

On March 21-22, 2012, over 300 Atlanta tastemakers gathered at Atlantic Station for the 2012 Powerpreneur Spotlight Series which honored 14 key influencers in media and entertainment. It was presented by Velvet Suite Marketing in partnership with the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Special Events. Guests experienced an Asian-inspired theme furnished by SOHO Events, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, drinks, desserts, celebrity presenters, a VIP welcome reception, intimate and in-depth conversations with honorees, and a social media activation through the HP™ media lounge hosted by Rashan Ali and E. Vincent Martinez. Eboni Elektra L!VE hosted the post-event party with music by Stefan the DJ.

The Powerpreneur event, founded by Velvet Suite Marketing president Melissa Johnson, has created a unique quarterly series, designed to build strategic relationships with international influence in key industries. “Atlanta is a rising city of influence in media and entertainment. It is crucial for the City of Atlanta to nurture connections to spur economic opportunities in these challenging times,” she adds.
