What drew you to this project?
I love being a visionary. When I heard about this project, I knew it was an opportunity to fine tune my current skills, learn new skills and to gain industry recognition. I have had a burning desire to walk in my purpose. I prayed and asked God to open a door, to show me where, who [and] what. Then, the 11 Eleven 11 project crossed my path. It came into my sight. My heart jumped and I went for it. I’m not looking back, but forging ahead into the purpose that God has planned for me.


What do you hope viewers walk away with after seeing this project?
I am hoping that viewers will walk away knowing that even when you make mistakes, God still loves you and all is not lost. Do not look at your situation. Focus on God. There is hope and victory available to us all.

Who are your personals idols in the industry?
Sidney Poitier is one of the people who has paved the way for people of color. Alex Kendrick for stepping out and making good faith-based films. Phylicia Rashad for her professionalism and screen presence. James Cameron for being an awesome director, and Jet Li because I love martial arts.


Performer you would drop everything to go see:
Toby Mac and Prince — they are a couple of my favorites, but I would not drop everything.

Pop culture guilty pleasure:
The Twilight series – I like the fact that they used different directors for each piece in the series.

What’s on your music playlist?
My playlist never stays the same. I like Canton Jones, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson, Toby Mac, Barbra Streisand, Mandisa

I am a MAC girl!

Worst job you ever had:
Hmm … I can’t say that I can put any of my jobs in the “worst” category. I have learned something from each one.

Jesus, Jesus and more of Jesus

Favorite screen or commercial opportunities:
Working with some great Christian artists at TCT in Detroit. I learned so much about camera operation, floor directing, editing and CG. This is where I learned about my gift – filmmaking and that I am going to be the best at what I do.
