Christina Milian and The Dream Battle On Twitter

When you’re a talented songwriter known for making your relationship issues public discourse, what do you do when your baby’s mother is bashing you in interviews? You retaliate the best way you know how; with stinging words in front of legions of your fans. Terius ‘The Dream’ Nash is apparently livid with his ex-wife Christina Milian after the songstress turned Cash Money signee blasted him for being a less than stellar parent to their daughter. “I’m not happy at the moment, but I have come to the realization that I have to be 200 percent mom for her [baby Violet] and it’s not about finances, it’s about spending time,” said Milian recently to 97.9 The Boxx Houston. “We live in different cities, he’s in Atlanta and I’m in L.A. There are planes and plenty of money for airplanes, so …” Milian explained. “I’m just gonna leave it at that. My daughter is a great kid and someday their will be a healthy man in my life that will love her the way I do.”

The Dream obviously caught wind of the interview and was so irritated that he took to Twitter to offer a response. “Love you too. Those 15 minutes are almost up boo!” the “Love King” singer wrote. “Has been!,” he added. The Dream then let out a rant accusing Milian of being a gold digger, even reaching out to his ex-wife, singer Nivea. “@ThisisNivea we know what this is. And if the world is that stupid let it be!” wrote the singer.

After seeing The Dream’s tweets, Christina offered some words of retaliation herself. She has since decided to keep her dismay with the R&B singe off of Twitter, but not before issuing the below response.

In addition to the tweets, Christina posted a link to a 2010 Essence magazine article where The Dream admitted to not helping out with his daughter when he and Milian are in the same city. “Do you help Christina out when you’re home?,” asked Essence. “I don’t because my “helping out” turns into expectations,” The Dream responded. “I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.”

Both The Dream and Milian have been silent today about their issues.

The Dream is just the latest celebrity to be accused of being a ‘bad dad.’ Recently rolling out writer Nicholas Robinson composed a list of celebrity dads who’ve been accused of being a poor parent. Most recently, Gabriel Aubry, Halle Berry’s ex, has received backlash.

“During Gabriel Aubry’s current custody battle with his ex-girlfriend, Halle Berry, the male supermodel has been accused of child endangerment and negligence and a child custody evaluator recently claimed that Halle was a better parent than Gabriel, due to his emotional issues,” wrote Robinson.
