In 2010, Devin Thomas was cut from the Washington Redskins reportedly due to the dreaded curse. The NFL receiver starred in a Fantasia Barrino music video as her love interest and made an appearance on her reality show vying for her attention. He was later blasted by critics who claimed he was more interested in an acting and modeling career than football. Thomas would later allege that his coach Mike Shanahan wasn’t too happy with his reality TV debut and thought the stint played a role in his dismissal.
