Sunday Program- Everyday People Share Their God-Given Gifts
DeWayne Rogers,  Art Director- Rolling Out Magazine

Everyday that I wake up continues my ongoing journey to discover and cultivate my talents. I feel like God placed me on this earth to impact it in a way that I’m not even close to fathoming yet. I know that I have this creative life force inside of me that I have to feed daily … and because of that I’m not only learning about, but also getting a chance to utilize them.

I think that my primary talent is one of praise and adulation…I sincerely believe that I have a special talent of making people feel good about themselves. Right now, the greatest way that this talent is exploited is through my photography. It is such an empowering feeling to make people see themselves in a beautiful light…one that often breeds more self-confidence than they had before.

A second talent would be that of leadership. God made me a leader. It’s not something that I always embrace, but I do take it very seriously how I’m shaping and cultivating the lives of those who follow me, and those who look up to me both in a personal and professional setting. This year has really opened my eyes to how people listen to me, and God reminds me that it is something for me to treasure, and use to draw people closer to Him.

As far as talents that I hide, from singing to writing, I think that I have to do a better job of utilizing all of them, and finding a balance where they all can been given back to God.
