Rashan Ali Announces Return to Radio
A famed Atlanta radio personality is marking her return back to the airwaves on a brand new hip-hop station. According to an official press release, Rashan Ali will host “Streetz Morning Grind with Rashan Ali” on Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5. Airing weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Ali’s program with kick off Nov. 1 with a star studded line-up of appearances from B.o.B, Bobby Valentino, Yung Joc and other surprise guests.
The bubbly media talent first made waves at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 alongside Ryan Cameron. She then went on to become the host of the “A-Team Morning Show” on the same station, and at that time she was one of only three women in the country leading a hip-hop and R&B morning show before uniting once again with Cameron on V-103 FM.
“Hey Fam! I’m making my return to radio on Streetz 94.5 FM
#radio #ATL #rashanreturns!,” wrote Ali about her new opportunity on Twitter. “I’m happy to be back doing what I love to do. Even though I’ve transitioned to TV and other ventures over the years, radio has remained one of my passions, so I’m excited to be back on-air and connecting with the great people of Atlanta every morning,” she added in a statement. Streetz 94.5 made its debut this summer and is looking to compete with fellow hip-hop station Hot 107.9 as well as Atlanta’s #1 urban formatted station, V-103.
