At their 4th Annual Black Women in Music Event held at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood, Essence magazine honored UK recording sensation Lianne La Havas and R&B’s own Solange Knowles. The event attracted some of Hollywood’s most -talked about talent including Jill Scott, NeNe Leakes, Amber Riley, LisaRaye McCoy, Kelis, Tocarra Jones, Sheree Fletcher, and Verdine White of legendary group Earth, Wind and Fire, who surprised us witha performance with Solange Knowles, and so many others.
One of the hottest attractions on the purple carpet was the all-new 2013 Lincoln MKZ and Shawn Thompson, Lincoln’s manager of Multicultural Marketing. The event was co-hosted by Emil Wilbekin.
