Ted Nugent: 'I am Rosa Parks' and other crazy quotes

Washed up rocker, draft dodger and gun owner Ted Nugent is about to embark on another anti-Barack Obama campaign couched in “concern” for African Americans, and he’s calling it the “Ted Nugent Black Power 2013.”

Seriously, folks. He’s actually going to call it that.

Nugent, whose extreme disdain for President Obama is well-known, rationalizes the tour this way:

“Barack Obama, the guy who received roughly 93 percent of black American votes, is the clear and present engineer of the destruction of black America,” he said.

Nugent, a Detroit native and current Michigan resident who claims his musical heroes are B.B. King, Bo Diddley and Little Richard, goes on to say that “the destruction of blacks has been engineered by President Obama’s party for at least the last 50 years. The New Deal was a raw deal, and The Great Society experiment didn’t turn out to be so great after all. It has been an unmitigated disaster for black Americans.”

It’s hard to believe any of this when you consider that Nugent allegedly had this to say at a Glenn Beck rally:

“There’s a lot of white people in this crowd — I like that!”

We remember Nugent best from some ominous and threatening statements he made last year during the presidential campaign of 2012. According to the nationaljournal.com, Nugent had this to say at the National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis that prompted a prompt visit from the U.S. Secret Service:

“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

This “Ted Nugent Black Power 2013” tour will be interesting and headline grabbing, which is probably the point of all of this. Take a look at some of Nugent’s craziest quotes and statements.
