Veteran actress Essence Atkins has joined the mob of black theater-goers who detested the fact that he used reality show queen and Twitter sensation Kim Kardashian in his latest film Temptation. Critics and detractors of the move to cast Kim K accused the filmmaker of exploiting the sex-tape siren and leverage her vast Twitter kingdom in order to bring a new audience to his latest film.

Count Atkins among the repulsed and reviled. She spilled the contents of her soul in an exclusive interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, where Atkins sounded flummoxed that the the brunette bubble-head was cast when she’s not a traditional actress.

Keep in mind as you read the following that Atkins is one of the few African American actresses who has never been cast in one of Tyler Perry’s films.
