‘The Twelve Tribes of Hattie’ book review

untitled4

Ayana Mathis’ debut novel, The Twelve Tribes of Hattie, is indeed a jewel.  Having a fan such as Oprah to show fascination and delight with the advanced copy she received speaks volumes.  Consider yourself a big deal if you make the “Oprah’s 2.0 book club selection”, and that’s exactly what this gifted writing genius has done.  Hats off to Mathis for this very powerful and poetic masterpiece!  I can only imagine what the future holds for her and the magical ride that life is about to take her on.

Here’s why you should read this book. –lili
