Much of the nation has been outraged by the report of a Michigan man who raped his 3-year-old stepdaughter as her mother held her hands. Child Protective Services finally took the child out of the abusive home after it was discovered that the toddler exhibited sexual behavior.

When dealing with children who may not be able to communicate instances of abuse, it’s important to know the warning signs. If sexual abuse signs are evident, notify law enforcement and seek professional counseling for the child.
