Michael Jackson‘s legacy has cast an enormous shadow over popular music and culture; and his songs, videos and distinctive dance moves have become a part of the fabric of our lives. From his beginnings as a precocious prodigy to his transformation into an otherworldly megastar, his story is one of triumph and tragedy that most music fans can recite without having to Google one fact.

With MJ’s standing as one of the most well-known artists in the history of music, it’s hard to find songs in his catalog that haven’t been absorbed and dissected by legions of fans and critics.
